Dr. Kurtis Hort is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced reconstruction of the foot and ankle. He earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, FL. He then completed a fellowship in Lower Extremity Reconstruction and Complex Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Hort performs complex, advanced reconstructive surgery for trauma, bunions, and a wide range of foot and ankle deformities, with a focus on restoring alignment, function, and mobility. He also provides expert care for patients with chronic or non-healing wounds related to foot and ankle conditions, helping improve healing outcomes and reduce complications.
Dr. Hort is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, the Duval County and St. Johns County medical societies and many more prestigious organizations. Research and teaching has always been a component of his practice has he has published many articles and lectured extensively both in the United States and abroad.
